Welcome to the Meet the Vendors section where the wonderful vendors at the Globe- Miami Farmers' Market would like to share a brief bio about themselves and what they bring to the market. The vendors are listed in alphabetical order by last name.

Peter and Patricia Busnack at Reevis Mountain School

We’ve been farming south of Lake Roosevelt for 33 years. We have a one acre garden and an orchard with over 100 fruit and nut trees. We are located within the national forest so our water and air are pure and fresh, and we grow our food organically with lots of love so it’s super delicious. We attend the farmers’ market most every Saturday and bring lots of fruit, vegetables, eggs, fresh-ground flours like oat, spelt, and corn (made from our own home-grown red corn), and sometimes healthful baked goods. Our motto is Live What You Love, and that’s what we do. Look for us by the rosebushes with the calico tablecloths.

Kristal and Yvonne Freeman at Rustic Bar Soap Company

Hi! The Rustic Bar Soap Company arose from a desire to expand my artistic ability in a practical environment. We strive to stay as natural as possible. You can visit my mom Yvonne, the soap peddler, every week at the Globe-Miami Farmers' Market and enjoy a soap that is not only good for your skin but smells great too!

Margaret Greenwood at Trellised Gardens

My name is Margaret Greenwood, owner of Trellised Gardens. I started gardening in Globe two years ago. Growing vegetables in Globe’s climate is quite challenging. With my 250 sq. ft. area, I use trellising and the “Square Foot Gardening Method”. I also research online and experiment with new ideas along with getting the best advice from our local Master Gardeners.

Using “Herbs” to develop seasoning flavors for a healthier way to enjoy food is my passion. Organic home-grown vegetables and herbs are used to make my seasoning packets and zucchini relish. I collect heirloom seeds that grow in the Globe area for my customers to purchase. Other items sold are plants for the home, scrubbies for all you cleaning needs, along with worms and worm tea (upon request).

Two of the best investments I made were purchasing rain barrels and a worm farm. These items have improved the quality of my garden soil 100%. Within one year, my 250 square foot area was loaded with worms and making the best environment for my plants and turning my compost pile into unbeatable fertilized soil. No more buying compost or fertilizer! By feeding these worms vegetable waste which consists of potatoes, carrots, lettuce, etc., they have in turn given me castings (vermicompost). I also use the castings to make liquid fertilizer known as “worm tea”. Remember the tea is for your plants not for people.

Tina Gutierrez and Susie Ketron

We are childhood friends from Superior, AZ. As young adults, our lives took us away from superior as we raised our children, (Tina has 3 children and Susie has 2), and pursued careers. Retirement brought our families back to Superior where we reconnected and found a mutual interest in crafts, up cycling and recycling.

The Higginbothams

Hi there! We are the Higginbotham's. We are a local vendor at the farmers' market. We are selling yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, chilies, green onions, radishes, cucumbers, corn and pumpkins. We started this as a family project to better our morals and values and to teach out kids the satisfaction of growing something then selling it at a market. Hope to see you all!!

Bob Zache

Bob Zache, born and raised in Globe- Miami area, graduated from Miami High School 1955 and then from ASU 1964 with a BA in journalism. I worked as a reporter on Phoenix Gazette where I met my wife Joanne in 1967, we married in 1968. Returned to area in 1977 and the Christmas tree in our new house at Miami Gardens was an afghan Pine (Pinus Elderica) which is now 50 ft high. Seeds from its cones grow the trees I sell at the farmers’ market. I also grow loofah sponges in my garden along with onions and garlic which I sell at the market. I’m a Master Gardener, went through Chris Jones’ class 8 or 9 years ago. I have a big garden with melons, squash, peanuts, green beans, and lots of other stuff, some of which I hope to have at market before season ends.
